When humans eat meals, however, we have a tendency to store fat and store sugar as sugar. We can still create fat out of nonfat resources of course but the procedure is much more restricted than in rats. It is more of an emergency button compared to the standard.
We use rats and mice as study models because they aren’t just cheap but they’re pretty much like humans in the end of the day, but ‘pretty similar’ implies that we do still have our metabolic differences. This is a significant one.
However, this is not to say that garcinia and HCA are outright ineffective in humans. One study showed advantages to the lipid profile of obese girls and yet another time HCA slightly increased glycogen resynthesis following exercise. Additionally, even if the range of weight loss in the earlier mentioned study was broader than the side of a barn it did indicate some weight reduction.
These effects, however, are fairly much in line with any other fruit. If there are things in it which may be absorbed then they could affect the entire body in some minor ways and that’s just what the benefits of garcinia cambogia appear to be, small.

Dr. Oz’s popularity is lasting, however, diet fads aren’t. I expect another “miracle” to supplant Garcinia in the Land of Oz at the long run.
